Hunter Ecology provides specialist freshwater and marine ecology services across NSW, supporting environmental approvals, impact assessments, biodiversity studies and compliance requirements under the Fisheries Management Act 1994 and associated legislation.
Our team has extensive experience undertaking freshwater, estuarine and marine ecological assessments for infrastructure such as jetty construction and removal, and other coastal and conservation projects.
Hunter Ecology maintains registered Advanced SCUBA Divers and personnel holding NSW General Boat Licenses, allowing safe and effective access to aquatic environments for detailed field investigations and monitoring programs in rivers, wetlands, estuaries and marine habitats.

We utilise a range of survey techniques tailored to project requirements and habitat types, including visual habitat assessments, aquatic fauna and flora surveys, dip-netting, snorkel and SCUBA-based surveys, vessel-based inspections and water quality sampling.
